The McFerran family took advantage of my sunrise session option this fall. We met on a brisk Saturday morning in a field full of golden sunshine and colorful trees. The air was chilly enough to make us all pull our jackets a little tighter, but the light was pure magic. One of the reasons I love morning sessions is the soft, warm light that is worth every frosty breath.
We moved quickly to make the most of that morning glow capturing a mix of both posed and candid moments. The kids took turns needing a little extra encouragement (as little ones do). So we leaned into the fun, turning breaks into wrestling matches, snuggle time, and a few rounds of ring-around-the-mom-and-dad that brought out the sweetest giggles.
Once the kids were bundled back up in the car, Michael and Brie stayed behind for a few portraits of just the two of them. There’s something so special about photographing parents together after family photos. It is a quiet pause where they can just take a deep breath and remember the sweetness of their relationship.
It was such a joyful, love-filled morning and a beautiful reminder that sometimes the earliest sessions bring the warmest memories.
