Though our friendship started on very rocky ground, Natalie has been the Diana to my Anne for almost 20 years. When she got married last October, I was heartbroken at the thought of her living so many states away. We were used to being able to just get together, play with her dogs, take walks down the road, confide our souls to each other, do hair and take pictures whenever we wanted. Even though we haven’t been able to get together whenever we want… over the past six months, we have learned new ways of staying in touch and somehow we have actually been able to chat more than when she lived only twenty minutes away!

I finally got to visit Natalie and Aaron last week and see their new home in Louisville and we picked up right where we left off! We even did each others hair, played with her dogs, and took a bunch of pictures. This time though, Aaron came along and it was such a blast to frolic through the early morning fog to take photos of them!

There were a few times that Nat was teasing me for the obvious influence of Xavier in my life because I used a few, new, big words… then I found this Anne quote and it proved that she is indeed the Diana to my Anne 😉

People laugh at me because I use big words. But if you have big ideas, you have to use big words to express them, haven’t you?
