Adam + Emily | Pleasant Valley Farm Wedding

I knew this day would be one for the record books when Emily told me that they were serving ice cream as their wedding dessert and that they would be doing a “first scoop” instead of a cake cutting. They also made it a priority to visit Lake Michigan for some portraits and it was seriously epic! Anyone that serves ice cream and climbs sand dunes at their wedding is a kindred spirit! They also included their sweet puppy, Dory, in the ceremony and it seriously melted my heart.

One of my favorite parts of Adam and Emily’s wedding was their first look… it was SUCH a special, private, joyful moment for them to see each other before the craziness of the day swept them away. The videographer, Xav, and myself were all smiling from behind our cameras as they saw each other for the first time. Adam and Emily got to soak in the moment, talk, and spend a few minutes with just each other before we started portraits. They are my heroes! Emily’s veil had lace from her mother’s veil sewn onto it and it made for the most magical, sweet photos at sunset.
