When I met Ben and Brooke for their engagement session, I knew their wedding would be a blast. They are such a genuine and fun couple to hang out with. It is no wonder to me that they have such a large group of very dear friends. Getting to see Brooke get more and more excited for her wedding day as the weeks flew by made me even more excited too! What Brooke didn’t expect was surprise fireworks! Ben called me a few days before the wedding to discuss his surprise grand exit… fireworks over the water. With the largest wedding party we have ever shot, a super structured timeline, and the elaborate exit, we were super thankful to have the couple’s friend and planner, Katie (from White Flamingo Events) orchestrating the moving pieces with us. Every wedding day presents specific challenges, but I knew I wanted to make extra sure the exit went smoothly since it was such a special and thoughtful surprise for Brooke. After running through the plan, recruiting a friend of ours (and one of the groomsmen) to help me with lighting, telling Xavier five different plans and then returning to the original plan, I am still marveling at how epic it ended up turning out and how beautiful of a wedding it was! From the sweet times of prayer before the ceremony, to the jaw dropping entrance, Ben and Brooke set the tone of intentionality, prayer, joy, and celebration throughout their whole day.
