Early morning, little ones in tow, changing the kids in the parking lot as we arrived… that was the vibe for our photo swap this year. Summer evening sessions have been tricky for Felix the past few years since golden hour pushes past his bedtime. I figured adding another toddler and a baby to a double session this year wouldn’t make things easier, so Samantha and I picked a Saturday morning instead — and decided to meet halfway in Williamston where we grew up.
The world was still quiet and soft, the kind of golden morning light that makes everything feel fresh and new. Theo was full of curiosity and smiles, toddling around with all the one-year-old wonder that makes photographing this age so fun. The way he lights up when his mom and dad are near is just the best — pure joy written all over his little face. Preston took photos of our family, and I took photos of theirs. Samantha handed out snacks and helped with Dottie, Xav kept Felix tidy, and Theo stole the show with his toothy grin. Little guy is a morning person!
We wrapped things up with donuts (and bagels, because of course). Family, photos, and pastries — it was a pretty perfect Saturday morning. Here are just a few of my favorites from the Bakers’ session.
