Josiah and Annika are the winners of our new website launch wedding giveaway and I got to meet up with them this week to wander around one of my favorite greenhouses and take some engagement photos.

As I walked into the greenhouse, we were all immediately struck by the vibrancy of the plants and the warmth of environment. Mid March is always the time when I really start to forget what being warm feels like and what a joy it is to be around rows and rows of growing plants! It is also the time when I start really aching to take pictures again. Michigan winters are longgggggg.

Josiah and Annika walked through the rows of plants, danced among the greenery, pointed out their favorite cacti, and shared stories about how they had fallen in love. Annika talked about how much she trusts Josiah and respects his wisdom and they giggled and laughed together at the prompts I gave them. These two are such good sports!

As we continued our greenhouse tour, I couldn’t help but notice how in sync Josiah and Annika were. They really seem to understand each other on a deep level. Maybe it is the long distance dating that has caused them to soak up the time they get together or maybe it is just their sweet personalities, but it was clear that they are more than just a happy couple; they are soulmates. As I watched them walk away, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for having witnessed such a beautiful display of love and happiness and I truly cannot wait to capture their wedding!
